Quiet Dinner on the Porch

AUGUST is here and we were having yet another rainstorm, so last Friday night I set the little table on the porch for hubby and I to have a quiet candlelight dinner. Lillies from the garden with a heavenly scent. Little pink tea lights and the steady rainfall set the mood.

Sea grass mats, starfish napkin rings and the famous Gibson china seen on so so many blogs~

I was in PierI that afternoon and say this little hanging candle holder and thought how perfect!

Everything looks peaceful and calm, the perfect way to end a hectic work week.

Salmon grilled and nutty brown Rice with fresh garden peas....just right

Melon wrapped in prosciutto

My old scarred table I found in a little antique store and brought it home to use in the center of my old kitchen. When the kitchen was done over we moved it out on the porch. What a great place to be on a hot summer night or a crisp fall night. Breakfast on a Sunday morning is nice too. Funny how when you love something you always find a place for it.

Let's join Susan on Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursday. Join the fun~

  16. I'm in love with your porch as well as your romantic tablescape! Is it a screened-in or enclosed porch? Looked enclosed to me. Wish I had a spot like that to decorate without worrying about the weather. I too love the Adirondack chairs in your banner.
