Snow, snow, go away!

I am sorry but, this is just too early for snow. Thanksgiving maybe, but not before Halloween!!!! I won't bore you with pictures of the snow, making my tall grasses lay down. Or that everything that was still blooming is now gone! So time to clean up and get ready.....for dare I say it winter :(

So what do I do when there is snow outside? I bake :)

Today I made a Apple and pear Crostata....yum. First I make my dough and put it in to chill for a few hours.

Then I slice the apples and pears and mix with brown sugar and spices.

After assembled, you bake it for 25 to 30 min. It really is that simple.

DONE!!!

Oh my, that looks yummy! I agree that it is too early for snow! I'm glad we aren't getting it here in the Midwest.
We are happy that you joined us on the Primitive Pantry. I hope to get to know you better there.

Wow, that looks absolutely amazing. I would probably eat the whole thing. So sorry about the snow. That really is pretty early. Hugs, Marty

Ooh that does look good! I'm definitely not ready for this snow either! I still have hanging baskets up! You bake and I cook, soup, pasta salads.. anything that takes lots of (nervous) veggie chopping!

YUMMO on the crostada but not the snow. We have so much we lost most of a cherry tree and our small (but not young) maple out front. 12+ inches of snow in October is wrong!! Hope you didn't get too much damage. HUGS, Linda

It is too early for snow! But not too early for that delicious looking pie! I just recently mastered making my own pie crust and am going to try this recipe! Thanks for sharing!
