What's new?

Or should I say just new to me, but really kinda old. I have been looking for an old sled. I can't wait to put some greens and an old pair of skates on it for the holidays. Now about the old door. The man who helped me get it in the car said, lady I can make you a much better, brand new one if you like...I guess he didn't understand that I loved it because it was old. When I tried to explain he just kind of looked at me funny.

This is the other new addition to our home. This is Tala, my grandpuppy. She is 10 months old and staying here with her Mom until they can get on their feet again. Oh my, what a huge change this is for us.

Gotta giggle about the man wanting to make you a new door, recently I coffee dyed old flags to take to market and 2 people said the flags should have been thrown away assuming they were worn out and dirty.I did sell them all though so some people understand..smile..Warm Blessings!~Amy

What a great puppy!! Just love his little face!
So funny about the man wanting to make you a new door!! So many people just don't get it.... like my brother who once said to me after buying a very distressed piece -- you actually paid money for that??!!
I LOVE old wood, too... we just restored my grandmother's homestead and used as much of the old wood as we could.
What a great old sled.... it will look fabulous this Christmastime!!

Tala looks like a sweet puppy!

Very funny about the door! I would have totally snatched that too. I've been looking for an old sled - lucky you to find such a great one.

Hi Donna...thanks so much for stopping by my blog after all this time....I love the sled you found...Last year they were selling them with the ice skates and greenery at the local flea market for only $35.00 and I was stupid enough not to grab one....great find!!

Lol.... I get those kind of looks all the time when I try to explain "prim" stuff! Like you've lost your marbles! I've learned to stick with what I love and not try to stick to trends! I love your door... Whatcha gonna do with it? Put the sled against it? Or do a wreath on it? I bought some ice skates at GW for this winters' sled ... Will be cute!
