Fall Mantel

I have a hard time decorating this mantel. The brick is from floor to ceiling and it sits in the corner of my dining room with a door on either side.  I seem to lack for new ideas.

I went out on Sunday while hubby was watching the Patriots win and cut some bittersweet. I love bittersweet, but it is a highly invasive plant, so I only use it inside and then I burn it when I am done. I do love it so. It simply says fall to me.

Then I put a bit of bittersweet in the living room as a small nod to Fall.

Love your mantle.... it is beautiful with the bittersweet. Do you grow your own? I usually use the fake stuff, but would love to have the real thing here and there.
Happy Fall!

I love it. Makes me want to go home, clean and decorate. I think I will try to find time on Saturday to finally put some fall stuff out!

Oh, your mantle is gorgeous...so fall! I love bittersweet! I am lucky to be able to get some each year. This year we have a nice new cat. I wonder if cats eat bittersweet and they should not. Do you know? I love your sweet Kema. Well, keep on decorating. It is that time of year!

Oh to have that much 'fresh' Bittersweet!!! It's so pretty.
Your decorating is just beautiful.
Why do we have one problem area that just haunts us. Mine is my hutch, yours is the mantle....wish I could help.

Love to see snippets of your decorating - always so pretty and inspiring. I agree - the mantel is one of the hardest things to decorate - stumps me all the time.
Hugs - Karen
