Garden Tour part III

Please, come into my backyard, this is where we watch the birds from the windows on the back of the house. These are also my main flower beds which can be a mass of color at times, but thanks to the almost constant rain we seem to be getting, my annuals are mush and my flowers are protesting the lack of warm sunshine.

My Mom brought me this shovel when I had been working in the garden non stop, before my daughter's wedding almost 12 years ago. I miss my Mom so much and this is a gentle reminder she is always with me in my garden. We would always walk in the garden and talk there. I feel her with me many times when I am alone weeding or planting.

My shade garden...can you tell I love Hostas?

The common daylilies are starting to open up.

Evening primrose in the late afternoon.

One of the entry ways to the pool.

Steps up to the chairs where we have afternoon cocktails...my son built these steps when he was about 13 yrs. old, hmmm 22 yrs ago?

A view from the rooftop!

This is what you see as you come around the corner from my driveway.

My gardens are what we all enjoy in my family. After we work in the yard on the weekend the grandchildren will come over and we cook out and they all jump in the pool. I am sure my neighbors can hear the laughter all the way at their homes. This is the best way to spend a Sunday, something to look forward to all week

WOW! What a beautiful yard you have! I can only imagine how much work it is to keep it looking so nice! I especially love the painted shovel that your Mom gave to you - and the obelisks - I've wanted one of those since we visited Scotland years ago and saw them in castle gardens there.
