It didn't snow yesterday~

Yesterday was our Anniversary number 42 we spent the day  together and did a little shopping. The two best things I got was this 1 1/2 gal crock. It is different then any I have.  The other item is this big wood box. Of course because it has our name on it I had to have it.

So I did some tweaking to find a place for the new crock. What do you think of it here? I took the yellow ware out of the cupboard and replaced it with this. I may get rid of my yellow ware. Although I love it, my passion is salt glaze.

Lana's sweet bunnies made an appearance. I packed up my snowmen hoping the snow would leave with them.

So anyway it is snowing AGAIN today. It is pretty, but oh the mess!
I can't even find my stonewalls!! Buried!

Yesterday we had an ice dam up on the upper roof and my kitchen ceiling was spurting water in about four places. Lucky for us hubby heard the drip, drip at about 3:30 in the morning. He had raked the roof and cleared most everything, but the highest hard to reach spot~ Guess what? The water found a way, so we had big buckets until daylight broke and he was up there chipping away. He cleared the dam and water stopped coming in, but my ceilings are ruined. Lots of repair to do. I should be happy if he had not heard it the floors could be ruined too.

This is the most snow we have ever had here and there seems to be no end in sight. I only wonder when it melts where it will go. The ground is frozen.....heaven help us. Between the leaks and the constant snow removal I can't wait for Spring.

What is it like where you are? Starting to feel like Spring yet?

Happy anniversary! 42 years is amazing!
Lovely crocks. I love salt glazed too. I also love your Easter decorating.

I longingly look at everyone elses snow. We don't get that here. Winter is cold nights with occasional rain. It's also when the mountains turn green, making you think spring has sprung, kinda like a lie. lol. Haven't needed anything more than a hoodie since we've been out here for the last 2 years. I'm sure some are jealous, but we always want the opposite of what we've got! I'd rather have the beauty of all 4 seasons. ;)

Hi Donna - "Happy Anniversary". 42 years is quite the accomplishment. I love your new crock. I'm a big fan of pottery, too. We are so done with winter here in Ontario, Canada. There is still lots of snow here but we are expecting nice weather for the weekend. Clocks go forward this weekend. Yah! Deb

Happy Anniversary to you and your hubby Donna. 42 years is such a blessing. Mr. P. and I will reach 42 in July. Love your new items. I can not find crocks in our area that one can afford to buy. And I too love old boxes. How neat to have your name on it. Sorry to hear about your roof. We just had a new roof installed last week. Although we don't get snow often here in GA, we get lots of rain. Wasn't leaking yet, but preparations for the mister to retire soon so doing the major home improvements while money is coming in weekly. {smile} Love those snow pictures. Haven't seen a flake here this winter.

Hello, hope you don't mind me asking, but where did you find the two primitive bunnies that you have on your blog? I just loved them!

Hi Anonymous, I can't email you back so I will comment here and hope you check back. Those bunnies are from Lana Testa at Winterberry Prims. She has a page on Facebook. I just love my bunnies. Lana puts a bit of her cherry spirit in each one she makes.

Hi Donna - I love salatglaze as well but so wish I had more of the antique ones.
Oh Spring...what is that? lol
It snowed here again on Wednesday but even though the temps are in the 30's we have had sun to melt it.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! Hope you enjoyed your day.
