I have a hard time decorating this mantel. The brick is from floor to ceiling and it sits in the corner of my dining room with a door on either side. I seem to lack for new ideas.
I went out on Sunday while hubby was watching the Patriots win and cut some bittersweet. I love bittersweet, but it is a highly invasive plant, so I only use it inside and then I burn it when I am done. I do love it so. It simply says fall to me.

Love your mantle.... it is beautiful with the bittersweet. Do you grow your own? I usually use the fake stuff, but would love to have the real thing here and there.

Oh, your mantle is gorgeous...so fall! I love bittersweet! I am lucky to be able to get some each year. This year we have a nice new cat. I wonder if cats eat bittersweet and they should not. Do you know? I love your sweet Kema. Well, keep on decorating. It is that time of year!
