I am quite happy that we are into January of 2015. Funny, but the weather has been so unusual this year. No snow for Christmas and balmy weather for sure. Yesterday was 59 degrees out. I had packed up all my Christmas decorations, vacuumed and dusted. Saturday was a quiet day and then by Sunday hubby wanted to get out for a ride. I have had a nostalgic week, missing my Mom and Step dad and my grey kitty....just a bit blue. So we took a ride down to Cape Cod. My Mom was in West Barnstable and now there isn't much reason to head that way. I love to travel Rt 6A. Poke in the little shops and Antique shops. Now it has been a couple of years, but I was so disappointed at how many shops had closed, shops that had been there for years. Lots of them gone. The For Sale signs were everywhere too. Many homes, beautiful old homes for sale. I don't know what all this means, but it made me sad to see the changes. We stopped and had a bite to eat and headed home. Home Sweet Home!
Here are three of our Grands standing by the pond enjoying yet another day. This makes me happy.
I love looking out my kitchen window to watch the birds at the feeders. This also makes me happy. I am the most content when I am at home in my nest. Curled up in front of the fire with a good book, my kitty in my lap. A pot of soup simmering on the stove and a loaf of crusty bread. What more could a girl want?

Pond..that looks more like a lake. Your kitchen looks so inviting. I can see why you like looking out that window. Janice
Janice it is Assawompsett Pond. The largest natural water body in the state. It is a beauty!
